Zambia e-Visa: Basic information
The Zambia eVisa is an electronic visa that allows visa holders to travel to Zambia for tourism, business and transit purposes.
The Zambian government introduced e-visas in 2014 as an easy way to obtain the necessary visas for the country using an online application system.
eVisa Zambia is available as single entry, double entry and multiple entry eVisa, it can be obtained completely online before arrival and thus saves immigration control time. eVisa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
All applicants can travel to Zambia and stay there for a maximum of 90 days within 3 months from the date of approval after e-registration. Once the eVisa is approved, the applicant must print it and present it to immigration officials upon arrival.
Zambia eVisa costs vary depending on the type chosen; it can be 99 euros, 129 euros or 199 euros.
Processing time can take up to 72 hours (3 business days) until the e-Visa approval reaches the applicant's email address.

Online application guide for an electronic visa to Zambia:

- After registering, proceed to log in to the panel.

- Select the “Visa Application Form” option from the menu.
- Fill out this form with the required information.
- Finally, submit the completed form.
Please note that the final processing time depends on the government of Zambia and may elongate if necessary.
The validity period of the Zambia e-Visa depends on the type. Choose the option that best suits your needs. The online visa is valid for:
- single entry, double entry, multiple entry:
90 days from date of issue - online transit visa:
7 days from arrival date - KAZA online visa:
30 days from date of issue
Remember that your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your intended date of entry into Zambia.
Provided you are a citizen of one of the countries eligible for the Zambia e-Visa, you can apply for a transit visa online. This type of entry permit allows a 7-day stay in Zambia from arrival in the country.

With an electronic transit visa, you can only cross the Zambian border by land. Air travel for transit purposes is not possible with this type of permit.
If you want to travel by plane, you must apply for one of the electronic tourist visas.

Required documents for e-Visa
Make sure you bring the following documents with you when applying for your Zambia e-Visa:
- Passport is valid. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months before your trip.
- A picture. You must upload a photo of yourself. The photo must be a recent photo (taken within the last 6 months). This will represent your current look.
- Travel details. You will need to record all travel information, such as flight date, flight number and airline details. This is a necessary step.
- Documents proving the purpose of stay. You must submit documents stating the number of days you will stay in Zambia, the purpose of your visit and the name of the place you will stay. This must be signed by the applicant. In addition, if you go on a business trip, the letter must be written by the company.
- Proof of accommodation. This can take the form of hotel bookings etc. Received.
- To prove that you have paid the registration fee, you must upload a payment receipt (you only need this when traveling, not at the time of registration).
