Laos e-Visa: Basic information
To get your online Laos visa quickly and without any issues, prepare the necessary documents before starting the application process; see the ‘Required Documents‘ section for more information.
Now choose the purpose of your travel begin by clicking on the “Login” button, which can be found in the menu on the right side of the screen.If you haven’t registered yet, please register yourself first. After registering, proceed to log in to the panel.
Once you are logged in, navigate to the menu on the left side of the panel.
Select the “Visa Application Form” option from the menu. Then, follow these steps:
- Provide your data, passport details, email address and other necessary information in the online visa application form.
- Attach supporting documents and proceed to the next step.
- Pay by choosing one of the many online payment methods available when using our services.
- Pay the Laos e-Visa fee (99 euros) and check your email.
- As soon as your payment is registered, you will receive a unique confirmation number.
- Finally, within 72 hours, the online Laos visa will arrive to your email address in PDF format.
- Print it out and take it with you on your trip.
To cross the border to Laos without any problems, make sure you have prepared the following documents:
- a valid passport (that will not expire for a minimum of 6 months)
- a printed eVisa to Laos copy
Customs officers will check that you have the documents listed above, stamp your passport, and take your fingerprints.
Every traveler crossing the Laos border with an eVisa must use one of the following ports of entry:

- Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge I (Vientiane Capital)
- Luang Prabang International Airport (Luang Prabang Province)

On the selected port of entry, your passport will be stamped and your fingerprints will be taken by the government customs.
The following nationalities are exempt from all visa requirements, and may enter Laos visa-free:
- Brunei and Myanmar – for 14 days
- Japan, Luxembourg, Switzerland – for 15 days
- Cambodia, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam – for 30 days

Required documents for e-Visa
To successfully get an approved eVisa, each traveler must attach the following documents to their application form:
- a photo of the bio page of your valid passport
- photo of the candidate's face (can be easily taken with a phone camera or PC)
Important Information
- Everyone entering Laos must have their own online visa
- Laos eVisa does not serve as a work permit
- Electronic visa holders must enter Laos using one of the listed border crossings.
- Processing time may take up to 72 hours (3 business days)
- An online tourist visa is required when transiting through Laos
- The applicant's passport must be valid for at least 6 months after entering Laos.
- Each application is thoroughly tested to ensure that it is free of any errors to ensure positive approval
