Gabon e-visa is an electronic visa that allows the visa holder to visit Gabon for tourism, business, transit or even medical purposes.
The Government of Gabon launched e-visas in 2015 to speed up the visa application process through a completely online system.
 
Eligible travelers can choose between two types of Gabon e-visas: single-entry visa and multiple-entry visa.

Apply online – Step by step guide

  1. Choose the purpose of your travel  begin by clicking on the “Login” button, which can be found in the menu on the right side of the screen.
    If you haven’t registered yet, please register yourself first. After registering, proceed to log in to the panel.
    Once you are logged in, navigate to the menu on the left side of the panel.
  2. Select the “Visa Application Form” option from the menu. Start filling in the application form with your data, information from your travel documents, and attach copies of the necessary supporting documents (applicant’s photograph, passport photo).
  3. Cover the fee using any method of online payment of your choice.
  4. Check your email box. As soon as your payment is cleared, you will receive a unique confirmation number. The online Gabon visa will arrive at your inbox within a maximum of 72 hours.

The electronic tourist visa to Gabon is valid for different periods of time depending on the type of entry permit you choose:

Why Is the Gabon e-Visa Issued?

Gabon e-visa is issued to citizens who plan to visit Gabon for a maximum period of 30 days for tourism, business, family visits, medical treatment, friendly visits, support at fairs or events and missions.
Electronic visas are issued for one or more entries.

List of eligible countries

Citizens of most countries need to apply for an electronic visa to Gabon to travel there.

The following countries can enter Gabon visa-free:

  • Mauritius
  • Morocco
  • South-Africa

If you're traveling from any other country than those listed above, you need to apply for your Gabon visa online.

Important:If you have more than one passport, you must use the same passport/travel document that you used to apply for the e-Visa.
It is not possible to apply for a Gabon visa using information from one passport and then travel using another passport.

Required documents for e-Visa

How Much Does the Gabon e-Visa Cost?

The Gabon e-visa fees are as follows:

Three-month, single entry 70€ (+15€ as file processing fee)
Six-month multiple-entry 185€ (+15€ as file processing fee)

You do not have to pay online. You will only be able to pay in cash upon arrival.

Can the Gabon e-Visa Be Extended?

Yes, he can.
However, there are certain conditions for visa extension.
The Directorate General of Documentation and Immigration (DGDI) in Libreville states that:

 

  • The one-month visa can be extended for another two months;
  • The two-month visa can be extended for another month;
  • Three-month visa cannot be extended;
  • Six-month visas cannot be extended.

Is It Possible to Apply at the Last Minute for a Gabon e-Visa?

The visa will take 78 hours to process, so you must apply in advance so that you know if your visa will be approved or not before you travel.
