Armenia e-Visa: Basic information

The Armenia e-visa is a single-entry e-visa that allows the holder to stay in Armenia for 21 or even 120 days.
The Government of Armenia has introduced an electronic visa system to make visa processing as simple as possible for visitors from 70 eligible countries.
If a person needs medical treatment in Armenia, manages a business, visits friends and family or simply goes on vacation, the Armenia e-Visa will allow them to do all of this and more !
There are two types of Armenian e-visas, both of which are single entry permits; however, one allows a 21-day trip, while the second allows a 120-day stay.
The first e-visa for Armenia is valid for 90 days and the second visa is valid for 180 days.
Travelers should ensure they have a valid passport and begin the registration process using a phone, laptop, PC or tablet with an internet connection.
Then, to complete the registration process, each traveler must follow three simple steps:
 
Fill out the application form, pay the issuance fee and wait for approval.
Processing time can take up to 72 hours; therefore, the online application must be submitted at least 3 business days before departure.
The approved documents will then be sent to each candidate via email.
 
Important!
Armenian e-visa holders can only enter the country through certain border crossings.

Why Is the Armenia e-Visa Issued?

Armenia e-visa is issued mainly for tourist purposes.
However, you can apply for an Armenia e-Visa if you want to visit the country to carry out short-term business activities, medical treatment, sporting or cultural events, family reunions , study/education or as a member of an aircraft/transportation crew.
The application process takes place online and you do not need to visit the embassy or consulate at any stage of the application process.
There are two types of electronic visas that distinguish the Republic of Armenia.
The difference between the two types of online visas lies in the allowed length of stay.
Traveler can choose between:
  • Single entry visa for 21 days.This is a short-term online visa valid for 90 days (three months).
  • 120-day single-entry tourist visa serves as a long-term online visa and is valid for 180 days (six months)

No, you cannot. The only border-crossing checkpoints that can issue an Armenian visa on arrival are:

  • Bavra.
  • Bagratashen.
  • Gogavan.
  • land borders with the Republic of Georgia.
  • Zvartnots International Airport.
  • The Meghri land border with Iran.
