COVID-19 restrictions in Tanzania
International travel to Tanzania is now open but on arrival all passengers must take a quarantine test until they have a negative result. Travelers can skip this process if they have:
COVID-19 vaccination certificate verifying full vaccination; negative COVID-19 NAAT or RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure; or a certificate of recovery issued 10 to 180 days before arrival.
The new mandatory measure is to fill out an online health monitoring form. Those planning to visit Zanzibar must also fill out another health form designed specifically for Zanzibar. Both forms must be completed 24 hours before arriving in Tanzania.
Passengers arriving from countries identified as having a high risk of reported coronavirus cases must also take an antigen test at their own expense. If the result is positive, they will have to quarantine for 14 days until another test comes back negative.
Not all COVID-19 testing requirements apply to children 5 years of age and younger.

Through the form, the Tanzanian authorities also get the necessary data in case they would need to contact anyone possibly infected with COVID-19. This will eliminate the further spread of the virus, as an infected traveler will be quarantined.
All visitors to Tanzania must fill out an application form, including children traveling with a guardian or parent. However, children 5 years of age and younger are exempt from all COVID-19 testing requirements.
