  4. Select the “Visa Application Form” option from the menu.
  5. Fill out this form with the required information.
  6. Make an online payment to cover the e-Visa fees. Once applicants’ payments register, they will receive an email with their entry permit confirmation number.

If you will be transiting airside at St. Helena airport, arriving and departing on the same day, and you will not pass through border control, then you do not need to apply for a St. Helena e-Visa.

However, if you will be transiting landside and/or passing through border control, then you do need an e-Visa unless you are specifically exempt.

 

All travelers should have prepared two essential documents upon entering Saint.Helena. Please apply for your entry permit a few days in advance of your travel and once it’s approved, make sure you have a hard copy of your online visa.

Required documents for e-Visa

Ensure you have the following documents when applying for an e-Visa to St. Helena:

  1. Your passport. It must be valid at least six months before you intend to travel to St.Helena.
  2. A picture.Photos must be taken within the past month, must be in color, white background, no borders.
  3. If you plan to transit the mainland within 48 hours:
  4. Continue your travel journey
  5. Accommodation details about where you will stay in St. Helena
  6. Medical or travel insurance. This includes coverage for medical evacuation.
  7. If you are in Saint Helena for 48 hours or more:

  11. Previous travel document/passport. You must provide proof of previous travel.
  12. Financial funds. You must provide evidence that you have sufficient means to meet your needs. This includes: Bank statements and proof of income (salary, start date, location and company details).
  13. If someone else is supporting you financially, whether a friend, relative or business, they must provide evidence that they have enough money to support you.
  14. The person/company assisting you must be located in St.Helena or legally in St.Helena at the time of your visit.
  15. Documents to confirm your legal residence.Only applies if you are not a citizen of the country you are traveling to.
  16. Proof that you are working or studying. This includes: a letter from your employer, outlining your role, your salary and the length of time you have worked. Or a letter from your school, which must clearly state your registration and discharge dates. If you are self-employed, you must provide business registration documents that clearly state the owner’s name and the date the business started.

If you will be undertaking business activities in St. Helena, you must provide:

  1. A detailed description of what you will do in Saint Helena, including letters of invitation from any existing organizations. This can take the form:
  2. Letter from your employer stating the reason for your visit, who you will meet and payment/cost details
  3. For performances and entertainment, state clearly whether you are a professional or an amateur and what and where you will be performing. 

If you are under 18 and traveling to St. Helena, you must provide the following documents:

  1. Birth certificate or legal documents, which should specify the relationship between you and your parent/guardian

If you are 18 and traveling unaccompanied, you must provide the following documents:

  1. A letter signed by your parents stating whether anyone is traveling with you and providing contact details and accommodation details while you are in St. Helena
  2. Copy of your parent or legal guardian’s biography page from their passport. If they do not have a passport, they must provide another document with their signature.

Important:
All documents must be translated into English. In addition, each translated document must clearly state:
Confirmation from the translator that the translated document is accurate and represents the original document, date of translation, translator’s full name and signature, and translator’s contact information.
