Kenya e-Visa Application

Kenya e-Visa: Basic information

The Kenya eVisa is an online visa, introduced by the Government of Kenya in 2005, that allows tourists from eligible countries to visit Kenya for tourism, business and transit purposes.

There are three types of eVisa Kenya: tourist, business and transit visas.
Electronic tourist and business visas remain valid for 90 days from the date of issuance, while transit visas remain valid for 72 hours.

Citizens of eligible countries can apply for eVisa Kenya online by filling out the application form on our website.
The approved document will then be sent to the candidate's email inbox.
eVisa was introduced by the Kenyan government to help travelers manage necessary travel authorization documents in the simplest way possible.

The Kenya e-visa is a single entry visa with a validity period of 3 months (and the same period of authorized stay) from the date of issue.
It costs 99 euros, while the East Africa visa price is 149 euros.

Processing time may take several days; therefore, travelers must apply at least three business days before the planned trip.
The Republic of Kenya offers three types of eVisa, each serving a different purpose.

Please note that each online Kenya visa requires a unique entry permit.
You can only enter and exit Kenya once during the validity period.
To return, apply for a new entry permit.

Additionally, the Kenya eVisa remains valid for 90 days from the date of issue and you are also allowed to stay on your approved visa for up to 90 days.
Remember that you should not apply for a visa too early before your planned trip.

Tourist visa designed for use by tourists.
This includes travel related trips as well as visits to relatives or friends.
It is valid for 90 days from the date of approval and you can stay in Kenya for a maximum of 90 consecutive days.

Business eVisa dedicated to all businessmen wishing to carry out professional functions in Kenya.
It is valid for 90 days from the date of approval and your visit can last up to 90 consecutive days.

Transit eVisa allows travelers to transit through the Republic of Kenya before traveling to their target destination.
This online visa is valid for 72 hours from the date you intend to enter Kenya.

East Africa Visa allows you to enter Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda for tourism purposes.
Additionally, it is valid for 90 days and allows multiple visits to all three countries.
Important note:

As a single entry Kenya eVisa holder, you are allowed to re-enter Kenya from Uganda or Tanzania.
However, if you want to enter Kenya from another country, you will need to apply for another visa.

The maximum stay in Kenya is 90 days and you must depart before the last day of the validity period.

Tansit e-visa valid for 72 hours from the intended date of entry into the Republic of Kenya and the maximum entry period is 3 days.
