India e-Visa: Basic information
- An electronic tourist visa is a single-entry visa, issued for tourism purposes, such as holiday travel and visiting family or friends.It is valid for 30 days from the date of issue and allows its holder to stay in India for a maximum of 30 days.
- The e-business visa is a multiple-entry visa that allows you to participate in business meetings, conferences or negotiations as well as other commercial activities.It is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.A business traveler may stay a maximum of 180 days in total during this period, either consecutively or over multiple visits.
- The e-Medical Visa is a triple-entry visa that allows the holder to receive medical treatment in India.It is valid for 4 months from the date of issue.Its holder can stay in India for a maximum of 60 days in total, either consecutively or spread over 3 visits.
- eVisa 1 year for 129 EUR – is a multiple-entry travel permit allowing multiple leisure visits to India within a one-year validity period.
- 5-year e-Visa for 149 EUR – is a multiple-entry travel permit allowing multiple 90-day entertainment-related visits within a 5-year validity period.US and Japanese citizens can stay in India on a 5-year eVisa for 180 days per visit.

The application form
Select the purpose of your travel (business, medical/hospitalization, or tourism) and click “Login”button which can be found in the menu on the right side of the screen.
If you haven’t registered yet, please register yourself first. After registering, proceed to log in to the panel.Once you are logged in, navigate to the menu on the left side of the panel.
Select the “Visa Application Form” option from the menu.
- First, provide basic information in the application form, including your email address, planned dates of arrival and departure, and the port of entry you have chosen.
- Next, upload a photo of your passport’s bio-data page and the applicant’s face photo (that can be taken using a phone or a PC camera).
Important! Your passport must stay valid for at least 6 months from the planned date of arrival to India.
Payment and processing
- You are in possession of a ticket to the country of your final destination
- Your transit time in India should not exceed 24 hours
- You will not leave the transit area of an Indian airport while waiting for a connecting flight
Travelers who do not meet the requirements above must apply for an e-Visa in order to transit through India.
Travelers are required to have the following documents upon entering India:
- a valid passport. Please note that the passport must be valid for at least six months past the planned date of arrival to India.
- a print-out copy of your e-Visa. You will receive your approved entry permit to your email address in PDF format within a few days.

How Much Does the India e-Visa Cost?
The cost of the visa depends on which type of visa you apply for. Visa fees are as follows:

You may pay the fee using a credit/debit card or payment wallet. Visa fees are non-refundable.
Important Information
- The applicant's passport must be valid for at least six months from the expected date of arrival in India
- The India e-Visa does not allow you to seek or take up employment in India
- e-Visa cannot be extended for India
- India's e-visa is digitally linked to the holder's passport; Any changes to your passport will invalidate the online visa.
- In other words, if your passport expires or is updated, you must apply for a new entry permit.
