Egypt Entry and Travel Requirements

Entry requirements to Egypt are a set of rules that determine the procedure to enter Egypt without any problems. These regulations also include necessary documents that tourists must prepare for their planned trip.

Egypt Travel Requirements

Egypt welcomes the return of all foreign visitors as well as Egyptian citizens and residents returning to Egypt, with minimum entry and travel requirements remaining in place.

Unvaccinated travelers, including Egyptian citizens and residents, must take a Covid-19 PCR test within 72 hours of their intended arrival in Egypt.

Children under 6 years of age are exempt from the testing requirement.

Please note! Travelers from the following countries may present a PCR test taken within 96 hours of arrival due to long travel and transit times:

The Egyptian government has stipulated that only paper forms of PCR tests performed will be accepted upon arrival. Remember to print your test results and bring a printout with your unique QR code to the airport.

Vaccination required

The Egyptian government does not require incoming visitors to be fully vaccinated to enter the country. However, fully vaccinated travelers may bypass all testing and quarantine requirements currently in effect.

To be considered fully vaccinated by Egyptian authorities, you must have received your last dose of vaccine no earlier than 14 days before your expected arrival. Vaccination must be administered through one of the approved vaccines:

Quarantine required

Entry Rules for Children
