Colombia Check-MIG Form: Basic Information
The Colombia Check-MIG form is a new mandatory travel authorization document that every traveler entering or leaving Colombia must have.
This document is intended to create a safer environment for both international travelers and border control officers as it is essential to minimize unnecessary contact during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This form must be completed online within 24 hours of each time a traveler crosses the Colombian border and up to one hour before their flight takes off.
Colombia Check-MIG allows single entry into Colombia; therefore, a new form must be completed upon entry as well as upon return to one's country of origin. An approved Check-MIG remains valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Travelers planning to travel to Colombia must complete a quick 3-step online registration process to receive an approved Colombia Check-MIG via email.
Important! Check-MIG is not a visa for Colombia. If travelers are from a country that requires a visa to cross the Colombian border, they will need two documents for customs control upon arrival (visa AND Check-MIG form).
Although one can enter Colombia without a visa, the Check-MIG form is still required.

Once you receive Check-MIG confirmation, it will be valid for the next 30 days. Remember that you must make your request between 24 hours and one hour before your flight is scheduled to depart. All travelers crossing the Colombian border must have a copy of this document upon entering or leaving the country.
Please note! Every time you cross the Colombian border, you need a new copy of Check-MIG. This is a one-time entry whether you are entering or leaving the country.
All travelers must have two required documents when arriving in Colombia.

Please note! Check-MIG cannot be used as a visa for Colombia. It does not replace a visa for anyone who needs a visa to cross the Colombian border. Check-MIG is required for anyone entering/exiting Colombia during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even if you qualify to enter Colombia without a visa, this document is still necessary.

- COVID-19 PCR test results are no longer required for entry into Colombia
